Hey I'm goin through a very bad patch at the minute and I'm eating less than 1000 calories per day. I'm always hungry but my bloods are always high. Lots of blood samples have been taken but all have came back clear thank-god! I would really like the pump but I dont think the health service will allow me to have it. I am going through a lot of pain and torture so if you can please help me. Thanks. Sarah H xxx

Hey, I was on a pump about a year ago and I was taken off it as my bloods still swung out of control. Of course I was going through a bad patch with other medical problems but I am going back on the pump tomorrow. Cannot wait, love it so much. My HbA1c is very high too and I am hoping that it will come down with accordance to the use of the insulin pump. This web site rocks too.

My HbA1c was 17.8 half a year ago but now thanks to the pump it's 5.5. Once you get used to it theres nothing to worry about. You can live without knowing you have it. Thank you.

I have my name down for a pump and can't wait to try it. I am fed up with being up and down with my sugars all the time and not being in control.

I have now been using Insulin Pump therapy for 2 1/2 years now, and would recommend it to anyone who suffers with Keto-acidosis on a regular basis. In using the pump I have managed to bring down my HbA1c levels from 14.4 down to 8.4 and my diabetes is improving with each quarterly visit to the consultant.
